How CallingCraft came about
For much of my life, I was trying to figure out what I was meant to do. I knew I was capable and wanted to use my talents and abilities in a meaningful way, yet I never fully felt in sync with the work I was doing.
I moved through a number of roles - some rewarding and some less so - but I never experienced the sense of deep fulfillment and alignment I was looking for. I wanted work that was meaningful, fulfilling and aligned with who I was. Work that brought out the best in me, that I could fully apply myself to, and that allowed me to make a positive contribution.
I spent years searching for answers. I reflected, tried different roles, completed psychometric assessments, and looked for ways to gain greater clarity and direction. At one point, I even undertook a spiritual journey, traveling to India and the Himalayas in the hope of finding answers.
All of it helped in some way, and many of those experiences shaped me. But I still lacked the deep conviction I was looking for about what direction my working life should take. That question remained unresolved.
Over time, I realized I was not alone. I saw a similar uncertainty, discontent and frustration in friends, family members, colleagues, and people I met in my travels. Many were doing work that looked fine from the outside, yet they felt something was missing or off.
This bothered me. If work takes up such a significant part of our lives, surely there should be a reliable way to make it more fulfilling.
Eventually, I decided to find the answer. I became convinced that fulfilling work is not simply something we stumble across. There had to be an underlying process we could follow to deliberately create a more fulfilling working life.
CallingCraft grew from that belief.
The CallingCraft Method brings together career development research, first-principles thinking, and systems thinking to create a structured way of understanding what makes work fulfilling and deliberately creating more of it in our working lives. The Method is designed to increase clarity, direction, fulfillment, and alignment at work - while giving people a system they can return to as their circumstances, priorities, and opportunities change.

What I believe
Fulfilling work is not a single job waiting to be discovered. It is something we can learn to create, and recreate, across a working life.
Self-understanding is the foundation to good work decisions. When you have a deeper understanding of yourself, you can make better decisions that align with who you are and that lead to greater fulfillment.
The type of work matters. And so does the conditions in which that work is done.
My role is not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand yourself, clarify what fulfilling work looks like for you, and explore the paths most likely to lead you there.
Background
My professional background spans career development, health and community services, with a focus on client support, project delivery and facilitation. A common thread across these settings has been helping people navigate complex systems and creating structures that make the way forward clearer.
This work has drawn on two of my natural capacities: listening closely to people to fully understand their situation, and seeing how the different parts of a situation fit together so that it becomes clearer what to do next. These are also strengths I bring to CallingCraft.
I am originally from Australia and now based in Dubai. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, health and fitness, traveling, and spending time with my wife and our dog, Dora.
